About Sun Electrical
I am Neil Sutherland and I am the lead Electrician at Sun Electrical.
After many years working as an electrician across a number of well-respected companies, covering all domestic and commercial electrics, faulting finding, as well as renewables such as solar, car chargers and solar battery systems, I launched my own business in January 2024, Sun Electrical.
My background prior to becoming an electrician was in management and quality control systems, all of which have fed into my growth as an electrician, instilling in me the importance of high standards of workmanship and safety, as well as excellent customer relations. My love of electrics began even before this, as between the ages of 17-23 years old, I undertook a circle navigation of the globe on 50ft yacht ‘Big Reef’. When things went wrong at sea, which often happened, I had no choice but to try and fix them myself, with whatever I had available. As stressful as this could sometimes be, I relished the challenge and felt a huge sense of achievement when a fault was located and a fix was successful.
What sets me apart from other electricians is the quality of my work, which is not only effective and safe, but also carefully considered to ensure minimal impact on a property’s aesthetics through thoughtful design and high finishes.
I also believe in honesty and so I am completely transparent with my costing, listing actual wholesale item costs, together with a breakdown of any fees, so that the customer is not only fully informed, but also in a position to source any element themselves should they wish to in order to keep their costs to a minimum.
I also take time to communicate with customers so that they fully understand any new systems that I have installed, safety features, or the source of any faults or required repairs.
I care about my work and my customers and strive to offer the best service possible.
